Traveling America has brought great perspective to my world. I stood in the Old North Church imagining Paul Revere’s ride which prepared so many for the upcoming battle for our freedom. The planning and willingness to fight is sometimes forgotten as we get too busy and complacent in our daily lives.
The state of my hometown has let complacency get so far that now our safety is in jeopardy. This is not the standard I have for my house, family, neighborhood or city. I pulled papers yesterday and am running for Hemet City Council, District 1. Hemet is at a crossroads and the time to get involved is now. We should not be worried about simple things such as taking a walk, getting gas, or grocery shopping without being attacked. In order to accomplish this monumental task, the law abiding citizens need to set aside their differences and work together to solve the safety problems. I see divisive communications in local papers which divide our citizens. America is made up of people that are all different. We are governed by laws so that we may live in peace with each other.
If you interested in being a part of the solution, let me know. There is a place for everyone to be involved so we can live safely in Hemet again!
